![]() ![]() I also really loved seeing Silla’s descent into madness. I love that it’s clear very early on that the only thing that truly matters to Silla is the well being of her sister, Nori. ![]() ![]() I absolutely love stories about family relationships. ![]() But I am so glad I stuck with it because the ending cleared everything up and was SO GOOD. I was confused enough that I almost DNF it a couple times. I will say that I was incredibly confused while reading this book. I usually read on my phone in the dark right before bed and I had to turn on my light several times to check the corners of my room for the Creeper Man. It certainly was creepy! It is the first book I’ve read in a while that had me a little freaked out. I was in the mood for something creepy so I borrowed this from my library. The endless creaking of the house at night and the eerie stillness of the woods surrounding them would be enough of a sign, but there are secrets too-questions that Silla can’t ignore: Why does it seem that, ever since they arrived, the trees have been creeping closer? Who is the beautiful boy who’s appeared from the woods? And who is the tall man with no eyes who Nori plays with in the basement at night… a man no one else can see? When Silla and Nori arrive at their aunt’s home, it’s immediately clear that the manor is cursed. TRIGGER WARNINGS: Suicide, Eating Disorder Mention, Death Of A Child ![]()
